Can you see yours?

From the anime Fruit Basket:
Supposing that the "remarkable" part of a person is like the Umeboshi plum(ingredient) on an Onigiri(the triangle rice ball with ingredient at the back), the Umeboshi could be stuck to a person's back. Throughout the world, there would be various shapes, various colours, and flavors of Umeboshi stuck to everyone's back. However, since they are stuck on their backs, maybe they might not be able to see their precious Umeboshi. They'd think "I'm nothing at all, just white rice." Even though it isn't true, even though surely enough, they'd have an Umeboshi stuck to their back. If someone is jealous of somebody else, that's probably just because they can't see the Umeboshi in the middle of their back.
Thou shall not be dishearted
"I'll give it a miss" was the last sentence that bid my dream job good-bye. The lady called this afternoon giving me an opportunity to an interview. BUT the bloody location of the company is at Loyang Changi!!! I almost fainted. Journey there will take at least 1.5h by train and bus. Haiz... Still thought the title "R&D Chemist" sounds cool. Then the company produces wipes, mask sheets, sachet products, etc... maybe can get free baby wipes leh... hahaha! okie, aunty nature aside, Haiz... Is it a wise choice to reject?

Little gem of innocence

No particular topic for today's post. I purely wanted to show you guys some photos of the family's little innocent devil. See how much he has grown in the past 4 months. His chicken wing thighs are twice the size of my wrist!!! He's really adorable (minus the crying and poo). I love making him laugh!
If you wanna develop some love towards cute little human beings or intending to get yourself or your other half pregnant soon (kekeke!), we welcome you to 'The warren' every weekdays from 8am to 7pm. It's the perfect chance for you to gain some hands-on experience! RSVP. (Brought to you by Bubble to promote singapore's fertility rate)

Special Surprise
The tortoise warrior drove me in a tortoise cart to holland village this evening for our mini 6th month anniversary celebration at Mykii (pronouned "Mee Kai"). The ambience over there is very comfy. Dim lightings, soft music... makes me sleepy though.
Both of us ordered the "Tempting Value Plus" which consist of a drink, soup, main course, and dessert. He had chicken and mushroom home baked rice which tasted like chicken rice while I had grilled dory fish steak. I preferred mine over his for its unique lemony cream sauce. The soup of the day was minestrone and the dessert was this cheese mousse cake. Not that fantastic though. I would not recommend this place to a big eater because the portion is really small. Although it's $13.80++, it's definitely not worth the money. The boyfriend, with his analytical fast fast "aunty" calculating brain, decided that Aston's steak or Tea Party's set meal plus a piece of cheesecake is much more satisfying and worth the price.

After the dinner, we headed over to Wala and were greeted by the NGAK band. Stood around for less than 10 minutes, agreed that no one would give up their seats, and strolled towards our tortoise cart. Me wearing a blur face, as usual, climbed into the car trying to buckle the seat belts when it happened. He pulled my left hand towards him and slipped a ring onto my finger! Goosh! That was so out of the blue. We are suppose to get the couple rings when he gets his first pay. I was surprised, very surprised indeed! Then my first thought was... where did he dig the money out for the rings? haha! I guess he must have thought about it long and hard before purchasing them. He caught me smiling to myself on the way home when I was replaying the scenes in my mind like a dvd player. hahaha! So pai seh. And my favourite was when he said "the ring will remain like that forever". (That's due to the wolfram material which they claim to be scratch and wear resistant.) =) I'm one happy girlfriend.

Then we slacked the night away... and talked about stuffs. I'm glad he understands. Somehow he made me see things in another perspective. Yup... I've been improving lah. Letting him know feels good, unexpectedly. Perhaps it's not that bad afterall. =) Still, I'm a happy girlfriend.

The road to build strong trust
Trust is both emotional and logical. Emotionally, it is where you expose your vulnerabilities to people, but believing they will not take advantage of your openness. Logically, it is where you have assessed the probabilities of gain and loss, calculating expected utility based on hard performances, and conclude that the person in question will behave in a predictable manner.
Tale of the crazy bitch
It feels as if there is a rope tightening and wriggling around her squeezing the last bit of self-control in her. She knows deep down that what she did is really wrong but she couldn't help it. It is so hard to trust. She learnt that trust is not to simply make a statement such as "Trust me" and it magically happens. Trust must be gained. Trusting someone is never easy esp if someone elses broken that fragile element before. However, the thing about trust is that it brings along a whole string of other elements that would torment your inside and make you totally uncool and ugly. She knows the complications, she knows. And so she is struggling to trust because it meant so much to her. Perhaps the fanfare explodes in her, only her, because she is afraid to lose. If only she could let go... If only things are transparent...
